Dominican Republic | Aged | 40% ABV
Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-year rum is produced using a combination of rums aged on average 15 years and distilled from molasses using the solera process.
The Matusalem company was established in 1872 originally in Santiago de Cuba. The company fled the country following the Cuban Revolution in 1959 and the Gran Reserva rum is now produced in the Dominican Republic.

Working out of town, picked up a bottle of this stuff and it's not worth the price. It's not horrible but I won't buy it again
I bought it in Dubai Airport, passing through, as I had never seen it before. Made in Cuba, not on the US market yet back then. It isn't the best rum ever, but I recall really liking it. I made a note to buy it again if I ever came across it. Not too sweet, not too harsh. Nice sipping rum. Personally, I give it an 8. One of my favorites. Then again, I'm not a big rum expert, but it's all personal preferences here, lol.
I expected something else. Actually a little disappointing. It is drinkable but not more. Only about average.
Alors celui là je l adore, il a du caractère, du goût, des saveurs, un regal
My colleague recommend this bottle to me as his favorite. But my expectation wasn't met at all.
Good burn.flavor good but not too sweet.I like more sweet but there is some little in it.Overal for the price its ok.
An enjoyable rum from Cuba. Not much too it though, which echoes some of the other reviews.
bit flat in flavours. yet fragrant at first.
Es un ron dulce con tonos a vainilla, antes me gustaba mucho pero ahora que conozco más rones ya lo me gusta tanto
This was my first Cuban Style Rum. Glad I tried it, now I know that I don't care much for Cuban Style Rums. Just not as much flavor as the Jamaican style rums. I guess Matusalem is a golden rum judging by the color and taste. The aroma is weak and the after taste is a little strong for me. This one is just not worth the price in my opinion.
Smooth and very well blended.
"The aftertaste is quite spicy and hot. Not in an alcohol burn way."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Un buen regalo de mi hermano luego de una visita a centro América. No se puede dejar de probar.
