Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-Year

Den kan drikkes alene og smager ok, men er ikke lige så god, som sin storebror. Er dog fantastisk i en Dark n Stormy

Inte min favorit, men den kan växa med tiden. Jag börjar vänja mig med att gilla lite mindre söttma å då kan Matusalem gran reserva 15 växa.

Matusalem 15 Gran Reserva rum which is a solera rum consisting of a blend of rums aged up to 15 years. I enjoyed the light butterscotch and vanilla flavours as well as the oak bite from this rum. Having said that I find this is a good sipper although at the lower end of the sipping rum scale. Having enjoyed this sampling I am looking forward to try the "18" and "23" in the future.

Average, nothing special about it, just not over memorable. I switched to Gosling Black Seal after this

Still on holiday but this one disappointed me a bit. Coffee, caramel , brown sugar and wood in the nose but when tasting, kind of flat and (too) sweet.. enjoyable but no more..

Very appealing taste, nice nose and good colour. Would recommend anytime

Tohle můžu... není moc agresivní, je lehce nasládlý. No prostě ideální.

Nose: This one has a very nice scent of caramel and oak. One extra point for that.
Nice bottle too.
Palate: The taste is less sweet than a zacapa or a diplomatico, even slightly harsh. The after taste is pretty short.

Matusalem är ju känd som "the cognac of rhums" och det är ganska tydligt varför. Den är inte lika mjuk och rund i smaken som många av konkurrenterna men jag som gillar när det river lite uppskattar den. Och den är klart drickvärd!!
