Matusalem Clasico 10-Year

I really liked the 15 but this one is not really close to it. Light colour , quite dry and sweetish , was okay to sip , bit of a burn , but like many middle of the road rums i thought it would make a good mixer... But not for me ! Don't know why but it just didn't gel for me , maybe it was my taste buds ? Will give it a second chance tonight...

It's nothing special, but it is still a solid rum. Good for sipping. None artificial aromas, simple and tasty. More of an everyday rum than a special occasion one. Could cost a little less, 15€ would be a fair price.

Vanilla taste similar to spiced captain morgan. Uninspired aftertaste. No go for this price range.

Он жгуч, весьма, но и у него весьма выраженный вкус. В сравнении с матусалем 7 , у которого вкус менее выражен, но все так же жгуч, как и десятка.
За весь вечер дегустации не сумел уловить ничего особенного в этом напитке, говоря об это вкусе.
К слову запах, точно так же: несколько приятней чем матусалем 7, но все же при глубоком вдохе не очень приятно...
этот ром не для того что бы им наслаждаться и по истине смаковать его.
Я ставлю ему твёрдую 6, но не более.

Truly a high end drink for a discriminating rum connoisseur. A little high on the sweetness scale for me but it is a quality rum.

Aroma: Dominující složkou je kůže, pak trocha vanilky a laku. Vůně je dost výrazná, to se mi líbí. (84 b)
Chuť: Příjemně nasládlý rum, vanilkový. Mísí se v něm jak jemnost, tak ostrost, která je znát zejména v dochuti. (82 b)

Shrnutí: V přímém souboji s kostarickým Centenario 9y Conmemorativo u mě vyhrál Matusalém díky lepší a výraznější vůni, v chuti byly oba rumy srovnatelné, s podobným chuťovým profilem.

6,5:On the nose, you'll find the whole Latino style, inviting, suave and rounded. Vanilla and caramel woodiness are omnipresent. It's distributed here with enough force to make this rum a great tasting experience. We don't fall into the sugar trap and enjoy the toasted coconut and nuts that complete the profile.
Airing brings out the sweet vanilla to the fore, having carried off a raw, white wood .Some sweet spices can also be noticed.
6,5:The palate confirms that this is a rather serious rum, but not very complex, which has not come to flatter the sweetest palates. There's that typical, sophisticated woodiness, with a little bite, a little sweetness, metallic, balance in short. The texture is fairly light, with no intention of overpowering, but simply satisfying, with that lovely toasted coconut and sweet spices. Some bitter sting arises time to time.
6,2:The finish leaves an impression of tasty wood and a veil of tobacco, a possible invitation to Cohiba.

I really like this one!
It's sweet on the nose, with some vanilla, not overwhelming though, just the right amount. Sweet taste, with the slightest of burns. It's just nice, I could sip it every evening!

I also use it to to show my Morgan and Bacardi loving friends that there are much better rums out there.

Any time I see it at lower/promotional price I buy a bottle, unfortunately, like most other alcohols this one is getting more and more expensive.

Sure, it is not excellent rum but still very tasty and good quality product.

Quite smooth, nothing special. Good for sipping. My father likes it as well, I tried it because of him and was not disappointed.
