Trinidad and Tobago | Spiced | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

...or you may get one of those "please God let me get through this" hangovers. Way to much sugar. Way to much alcohol at 47%. And a nice bit of spice but it is buried too far behind the sugar and alcohol. Not the worst spiced rum I have tried but please, as the saying goes, "enjoy responsibly" or you may get a Kraken headache at the very least. I stick with Brinley or Foursquare if I am in the mood for a spiced rum.
This is one of the reasons many folks don’t like rum: it’s harsh and syrupy with very little nuance.
I found this one perfect to mix with pepsi lemon :)
This rum will drag you through the seaweed and cough you back up onto frosty shores.
A lovely mixable taste you can keep on drinking and does not break the bank
A caramel/treacley heavy molasses like smell. .
"There is nothing subtle about the spicing and the caramel flavour makes the rum, to my taste overly sweet."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It was my best friend rum when I was student back in UK. It was great in cocktails. A bit too sugary, could take a bit less imo.
