Gosling's Black Seal

Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Lovely dark colour and herbal aroma. Spicey with tons of molasses. Not bad to sip but for me its best with Bundaberg ginger beer , a proper "Dark'n'Stormy" . Not bad also with cola , a different type of rum for me and an enjoyable one !

I had a gift voucher for a big amount and this rum was taken as i wouldn't get a refund for the unused amount ;-) I was pretty surprised, this rum is really great for its price! I can't wait to try it in a dark&stormy, but even to sip it is quite enjoyable and pretty good compared to other rums in the same price range...

Not too sweet, there is a little bitterness, only a descent smell of ethanol... Of course not compared with more expensive rums like QRM, Opthimus and co...

Goslings with the same amount of ginger beer, ice and 3 drops of bitters. Outstanding!

Classic black rum. I am not a big fan of black rums as aroma is very strong for me. Probably good for mixing.

InkΓ‘bb koktΓ©lokban lΓ‘tom a helyΓ©t, kΓ³lΓ‘val szerintem nem harmonikus, a gyΓΆmbΓ©res, fΕ±szeres vonal jobban Γ‘ll neki.

Dark caramel color and very promising aroma. Dominant oak over a spiced background. Get ready for a strong rum kick as soon as you pick up the glass!
Be patient, both after opening the bottle as well as every time you fill the glass. This rum needs to take some time of its own!
In the end of the day, you will be rewarded by the choice, either way...

Went in with low expectations and was better than I thought. Not an unpleasant taste like some, but still would have liked a little molasses flavor. Have it as a 4.5 on my chart.

This rum is totally different from what I've tasted. Strong smell, earthy taste, reminds me to fernet slightly. Depends on mood, may be a good evening companion.

Best spiced rum I've had so far (Only Kraken and Ron Jeremy to compare it too though)
I tend to like rum that have a really strong taste, that holds up when mixed with coke or a cocktail.
