Nicaragua | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
A sugar-free 12-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed in a Rum Old Fashioned or with a splash of premium sparkling water or ginger ale and an orange twist.

Some of the best for the money, full bodied and slightly sweet. I prefer it over the 18.
I love the Flor de Cana line of rums and the 12 year is no exception. For you rum lovers, you won't be disappointed. No harsh flavor with limited heat going down. Complex characteristics with a nice contrast of Oakiness and sweetness made for sipping neat. I would go with Flor de Cana's younger siblings for mixing with a less expensive price tag. The 18 year is exceptionally good.
I have to say that I like it, maybe it doesn't have any special extraordinary vibes in it but it is an HONEST rum, it is not any fake sugarbomb! Taste comes from maturation, there is plenty of wood aroma that I like. Bit too price in my country.
Final verdict: Maybe some day I will give it another shot
A great molasses rum in the aged category, really solid on its own in a snifter, where the bouquet can adequately gather, or just straight down your gullet. But it’s happy when FdC 7 goes down, because this isn’t a dessert rum, it’s a rum to share during a conversation with a close friend. Not fancy at all, but an excellent value sipper.
sympatical to begin a new collection..
sweet with a coffee table chocolate and caramel flavor..
Lets say just "good" rum for this one... i dont want to say average as this is not average rum but it has lack of aroma (not very visible) and something special in taste is missing. Not have any special feeling while drinkig this 12 year rum...
I can echo the people saying this is no better than the 7 year. Flor de Cana 12 year is a pretty average and dull rum. Save your money and get the 7 year. You won't miss much other than a slightly smoother burn... Still the same boring flavor that doesn't add much to a mix drink.
It is a goon one and got its price, a real option but don’t havoc the quality to be taken as a brandy.
I used to be a scotch drinker and after trying this I am a 12 year Flor De Cana drinker. Best tasting aged spirit I have ever tried.
'smooth and full of fruit and nut flavors'
"Flor de Cana 12-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
There is very little astringency or “booze” noted in the nose.
"A sip reveals a very smooth yet spicy rum. There is very little burn it tingles on the lips and tongue for a long time. It is a long finish."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
