column distilled in November 2005 at Travelers Liquors Ltd. and dropped in Denmark via 1423 ApS in September 2015. 1423 Belize 2005 SBS is molasses based, and the rum is very aromatic with an inviting scent and flavor. Only 272 bottles have been produced.
Nose: chocolate, plums and oak
Palet: chocolate, walnuts, plums and sherry
Really strong and good Rum. I can feel some sherry barrels and it is lovelyas a sipper. Better then the Dominican variant.
Dufter lidt spirttet og det samme er smagen. En Ok rom men ikke mere end det
The nose is a little bit too light (I lack some more aromas). The taste could be more fruity, the most fruits are in the aftertaste. The aftertaste is great, but the nose and taste are not that rich.
Could be a little bit too young and should be a little bit better for around 70€
Smell: vanilla, some citrus fruits, dry fruits, wood, some molasses
Taste: citrus, wood/barrel, paper, vanilla, some spice, some oak (I lack more fruits)
Finish: long finish, warm burn, fruits
Sweetness: 1.5/5
Spice: 2.5/5
Fruit: 2/5
Smoothness: 3.5/5
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Finishing of your rum in barrels used for something else have become even more popular than ever before. This rum hits a nice balance between the original taste of the rum and the finish from sherry barrels.
Nose: Sweet smell of sherry with notes from the fresh oak from the barrels
Taste: Strong oak flavors that slides into a nice sherry sweetness
Overall: This is a rum, where you really can taste the barrel, and that is something that falls very much into my taste. The sherry can be a little to much, but all in all a very good rum.
