Аромат - Довольно сдержанный, пряная древесина, тростник, травяные нотки, мята, эвкалипт, индийские благовония.
Вкус - Много дерева, умеренной сладости, орехи, капучино, тростник.
Послевкусие - Продолжение вкуса, слегка вяжущее.
Вывод - Намного лучше 12-летки, уже не коктейльный/закусочный вариант, вполне идёт в чистом виде, но весьма простенько, без претензий
Tried first the 12 yo which is quite good but this 18 yo is from other level. Not too sweet (just like I like it) balanced and tastes and feels really aged. On top of it, the price is fair.
Guter Geschmack, eher fruchtig aber alles in allem etwas wenig.
After trying the 7 year and determining it could only be a mixer with coke, tried this at my local Brazilian Steakhouse and I was impressed.
Great rum. One of my favorites. Very clean and smooth but not much character
Aroma of oak, leather and just a touch of sweetness in the alcohol nose. Fairly dry with just a hint of sweetnes upfront. Finishes dry and oaky. Firm oak with hints of char and vanilla. Warming approaching hot but not unpleasant. Long numbing finish. A little breathing really opens this one up. As it sits more comes out. Second tasting is even better. If you like sweet then this may not be for you as it's pretty dry and oaky. Good sipper, some bourbon-like hints. I like it more each time I have it.
I like this rum very much.
It's has gentle sweetness with vanilla caramel and chocolate flavor coverd by nuts oil.
Very smooth and rich, and creamy.
Really enjoyed this one a lot. Had a lot of molasses caramel flavors with a hint of sweetness like a banana almost. Had a harsh hit at first, not too harsh though, but it fades fast into a smooth mix of other flavors I'm not sure I'm experienced enough to even pick out.
I'd definitely get this one again. Great all by itself and occasionally maybe an ice cube or two to get a little chill to it.
Some what bitter molasses/vanilla notes with slight burn. OAK. I prefer Zara Master 21 for my middle of the taste road rum.
