As always you expect more you older the Rum is, I like 15 year better due to some more sweetnes to it. This is to oaky and whiskey drinkers would like it. Still good with long aftertaste.

The rum is not sour like some others are, so if you dont like rum as much this is probably a good starter

In der der Nase frische Düfte von zartem Karamell das im Wald behutsam auf Moos gebettet ist, umgeben von Gras und Pilzen und einem Hauch Kakao.
Im Gaumen weich und mild, Karamell und Schokolade sind die Dominatoren. Holz und Vanille stehen etwas Abseits.
Im Abgang zieht sich die Schokolade ins Unendliche.
Ein Ehrlicher Rum one Firlefanz aber leider auch ohne Tiefe. Für Einsteiger und Geniesser. -8

Light mahogany in the glass.
In the nose fresh scents of delicate caramel gently bedded on moss in the forest, surrounded by grass and mushrooms and a hint of cocoa.
On the palate soft and mild, caramel and chocolate are the dominators. Wood and vanilla are somewhat offside.
In the finish the chocolate stretches into infinity.
An honest rum one frippery but unfortunately also without depth. For beginners and connoisseurs. -8

This real 25 years old rum was aged into bourbon cask. Nice amber color with gray green reflections, the nose is very pastry with honey, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. On the palate, the dry fruits are very presents with vanilla. The final is not long but very sweet.

I like to taste the rums in series and now I'm after Malteco. Already tried 10, 11 and 20 yo rums, and pleasantly surprised of all of them.
The 25 yo has more depth and just a bit better balance between smoothness and strength than 20yo, but I like the 20yo better due to its distinguishable tobacco notes. In any case, you just can't go wrong with either of them.

This drink has a depressive emotion to it. I taste caramel, vanilla AND leather, if that could be a good combination at all... No alcohol burn. No joyful sweetness, just bourbon dry. Use it if you have a serious conversation with someone. So well balanced taste, nothing stands out.
