I haven't tried too many plantation rums, but so far I've rated all of their $100+ rums (only 2 as of this review including this one at ~$140) a perfect 10 (and their XO is a very high 9)!
Smells and tastes of molasses, oak, cinnamon, spice, and a hint of bourbon.
Nicely sweet for a bourbon aged rum, and very smooth at 44.8%! It says it was aged in bourbon casks for 17 years, Ferrand casks for 2 years, and tequila casks for 6 months, but I couldn't taste the tequila, and the bourbon isn't overly dominant (a good thing in my opinion).
I'll give this a great score!
