Distilled using small-batch copper pot stills uniquely designed for Appleton Estate, this rum is a blend of several rums aged 21 years in American oak barrels. Once blended, the rum is re-casked for two years to marry the flavors.

Ve vůni pomerance, kakao a med. V chuti melasa, med, ořechy. Celkove jemná chuť. Závěr prijemny a dlouhý.

I know that there are people who love Appleton. Heck, I was a child in Jamaica. I want to love Appleton. However, Appleton has a very distinctive after taste. Some find it pleasant, but I have always found it rather acrid. Even on their 21 year, it is the same blended distinctive unpleasant aftertaste. The rest of the flavor is what you would hope to find in a rum in this price range. If you like the lower end Appleton, other than as a mixer, you will love this rum. I have always had mixed feelings on Appleton and the same exists here.

Comprato per provare qualcosa di nuovo e ne sono rimasto più che entusiasta, è vero che è caro ma vale tutti i soldi spesi

Nose - dry soft woody nose with a hint of sweetness
Taste - a chocolate sweetness that switches to dry barrel tannins, a hint of tropical citrus
Aftertaste - marzipan and mint

This is very spice forward. If you love spiced rum this maybe for you. I ended up enjoying it in some eggnog but can't drink it as a sipping rum.

A golden color with sweet taste and a bit of cute taste. A great experience from tongue to aftertaste. A bit of caramel flavour in the middle.

I’ve found that after trying and rating over 200 rums it’s getting more expensive and difficult tracking down and sampling top rated rums. With that said 21 Appleton has a very rich looking medium golden brown color that I love. On the nose very little alcohol scent not too sweet just nice but not a 10. On the tongue nice balanced flavor tongue tingling sensation, not like gasoline just nice.great lingering flavor top shelf 9 rating.

Just had this again after many months and I could drink this everyday it is truly amazing, need to find another bottle.

I definitely gravitate towards rum's that prioritize vanilla, and this does not disappoint! Its sweet on the nose and goes down incredibly smooth. Love this rum.

A very smooth rum with good complexity and a long smooth finish. It is a very good rum but, in my opinion, not enough better than the 12 year Rare Cask to justify the price. The color and bottle are both exceptional.
