El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

You start with El Dorado 5, then 8, then 12 - which is great... then comes 15 and simply there is much more. A lot of various tastes, a little less sweet than the 12-year.
Had just one glass, bottle is on the way to my bar, so will taste more and then share ;)
A great rum for the price!
Solid standard rum. Nothing memorable, but worth trying. I would compare it to the millionario 15 which is in the same price range too.
Inhandlad då många berättat goda saker om denna rom. Kan bara hålla med om dom saker jag hört. Helt klart en blivande favorit rom. Len och lagom med sötma.
One of my day to day go-to, just solid overall with bold taste. Didn't know it wasn't that smooth until I tasted the 21 year old version. Even with that I prefer the 15y/o icing on the cake is that it's in the $40ish range

Had this one in Barbados sitting in a all inclusive resort. Don't offend the barkeep by mixing this one. Great pricing on the island makes this affordable. Thank god for duty free,
Detta var en helt otrolig rom. Jag vågar inte ge den den 10:a då detta bara är den andra flaskan jag köpt. Så jag hoppas att den perfekta 10:an finns någonstans därute.
Doft : brunt socker, kaffe, kakao, tropisk frukt ananas kanske?. påminner om en god chokladpralin i doften.
smak : I smaken har du precis allt det där som jag skrev i doften. Men jag hittar även en viss krydda/peppar, detta tycker jag gör att den inte blir för söt.
Denna romen är väldigt tjock och oljig i munnen, ingen alkohol som bränner i slutet.
En flaska av detta är något man alltid borde ha hemma.
El dorado 12 is good, but this is awesome.
It start with ripe fruits and honey in the nose.
Taste is round and oaky. Finish is long sweet & spicy.
Splash of water helps develop overall impression.
En fin rom, som starter lidt sprittet med så kommer en dejlig god eftersmag.
