Appleton Estate Extra 12-Year

You won't be disappointed when drinking any Appleton but this one is so smooth

I can recommend it for stronger rum fans with straight taste. Not so extra flawoured.

I bought this rum after reviews from this site. Appleton Estate 12 yo disappointed me. A very spicy, woody taste and in taste is predominant alcohol. More like whiskey than rum.

Leckerer Rum mit schöner satter Bernsteinfarbe.
In der Nase einladende Vanille und Karamellnoten.
Im Gaumen gesellen sich süsse Früchte, Holz und eine gewisse Schärfe dazu.
Im Abgang auch sehr lecker.

Delicious rum with a beautiful amber color.
In the nose inviting vanilla and caramel notes.
In the palate, sweet fruits, wood, and a certain sharpness are added.
In the finish also very delicious.

Good dry rum but not smooth enough to get a mark higher than 7. The after burn is too strong which kind of kill the pleasure as the the end.
Like in every Appleton, no added sugar in this rum.

Special fruit tasty. You should try it. Recommended.

I decided to give Appletons another go. I really don't like the woody flavor of most Appletons rums as it sits harshly in my throat. I gave this one a go a while back and was delighted with the flavor. It seems the harshness and woody flavor have mellowed in this rare rum. I would recommend thus to a mixer for sure!
