Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold

If it's around and you don't have any other choices, it does its job as a viable rum. Personally, I'd search elsewhere but was lazy so I bought it up. Not great, not terrible.

Popular, widely known, readily available and that's as far as its merits go. Foolish me used to drink it neat, until i hopped on board "captain and cola". Too much vanilla. But hey, you 've got to start from somewhere, no? I just finished a bottle that i've been keeping half empty, since 2011.

I just can't figure out why people like to drink this. Truly a mystery to me because there are sooooo many good rums to drink so why waste your money and time on this uhh thing!

When I go to a bar and find out that this is their only rum bottle, I'm getting dissapointed. Because I want to expirience a new taste of rum, not waht I have at home.
But at home, this is among my favorites

I haven't had this in years, but I remember the fake vanilla flavor to this day. I prefer locally sourced spiced rum with real spices infused in it.

This Capt made Indonesia in a small bottle, 200 ml, a gift from my friend.
I think she contain more alcohol. Her taste is way different from the original Capt.
I dont think she is the Capt I met years ago.

It is cheap, artifical spiced rum, but I like it taste every time I drink it.

One of the 3-4 rums you will find at most bars. If it’s my only choice I will drink it with club soda. Tolerable but nothing special.

Still a great spiced rum to drink in a long drink with coke.
