For sure very interesting, I can understand if some say to love it but I donβt. A strong ether herbal flavor, kind of weird for my taste
Dette er bestemt ikke for begyndere... Er mere til den sΓΈde afdeling og sΓ₯ skal man nok finde en anden.
After having been to a CDI tasting event, and having tried 10 different Single Cask epressions from CDI, this one really took me home. I had to own it. It is a quite dry rum, with a pleasant burn to the palate, and a nice array of complex fruity flavors. To bad it was a single cask, limited to about 230 bottles.
Really there is nothing to say AGAINST this rum...however I did expect more complexity somehow
I'm a huge fan of Compagnie des Indes, and this one really delivers. For 13-year rum, it's amazing how complex and tasteful it is. And at it's price, it's a no brainer for me. You find it, you buy it. Plain and simple.
Very complex, my first Compagnie ROM . Missing little aftertaste.
It has a touch of savoury/whisky like note but offers little else. .
"It tastes a little watered down. Some oak which is a little bit spicy and warming on the finish. The finish is actually pretty decent but its what goes before is the let down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This 13yo rum was distilled in 2002 at the Port Mourant still in Guyana, and bottled in 2015 at cask strength 118 proof. It's quite dry, with flavors of smoky vanilla and dried apricots. Despite the higher-than-average alcohol content there is liitle burn and more of a spicy aftertaste than actual heat. All in all, a really tasty, unadulterated rum from the banks of the Demerara River.
