Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.
The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

Was introduced to this by a rum lover in Antigua. Sweetness from the 5 years in PX sherry barrels married perfectly with toffee caramel notes from the broader aging. Easy drinking, and incredibly satisfying
This rum is great for a nightcap. You feel like you need 1 more drink before sleep? Drink this one. You had a nice dinner and just want to have 1 drink? Drink this one. You were drinking different types of rum and still want to have 1 more? Drink this one.
It is the rum version of a sweet Port. It has a strong tase which I recommend that 1 is enough.
Not as sweet and a lot less harsh than I expected from the dark color. Reminds me of a reserve bourbon more than a rum. Not saying that’s a bad thing at all.
Neat - very good, strong and smokey. In cocktails can't feel the smoke, just a little bit sweet. Nice rum, tasty
Nice smooth finish. Flavor is pleasant start to finish, not very complex. A little on the sweet side.
Különleges rum, kicsit édeskés, nagyon érződik a sherry hordós érlelés,
ez az egyik kedvenc rumom.
Picking up date on the backend, it does burn the nose some.
Rich, plump raisins dominate the palate.
"Quite drying on the palate so the mid palate. A slight oakiness and a little touch of the oak barrel."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

SERIOUSLY sweet, never tasted rum so syrupy. Rum flavour beneath sweetness is however really nice, shame it had to be ruined with tons of sugar. Smells very good though. Managed to drink a glass with cigar.
Rest of the bottle probably goes with lots of ice & cola.
