The review says it all. It is pleasant when it first hits the palate with a fruity sweetness that fades into an undesirable aftertaste. Would pair well for a piña colada, but the price and pretentiousness are not congruent with such a pedestrian fate.
I love it! Great price point! Smooth with just the right amount of sweetness that doesn't overtake the rum!
Smooth P.R. rum. Lacking enough flavor to rank higher, though still good.
I like this aged rum a lot. Very smooth, no aftertaste and no burn. Highly recommend.
I've tried many rums in my time and the Don Q Gran Anejo is one of the best. You can taste the aged oak. A little spicy. A fine pure sipping rum. It may not be the best I've tried but I will certainly enjoy my bottle.
A perfect selection to sip after a well deserved dinner. Sweetness from raisin and vanilla notes but also some ginger traces. Nice product after a 21 yrs effort!
Good Rum for the money. Bottle looks great. Good taste with a good bite
This was a late Christmas gift from a friend who knows how much i love rum. This rum comes in a beautiful glass presentation. Very smooth, adequate amount of burn, not very complex, tastes of molasses/brown sugar, spicy, a little watery, quite enjoyable, decent sipper, but forgetable rum. At $60, id i could buy two Doorly's 12 year and get the same experience. Dont get me wrong, this rum is good but there other bottles of rum in the price range that are better or the same quality at a cheaper price.
A sweet almost perfumed like aroma is followed by some oak, a little spice and a lovely waft of light vanilla.
"The initial sip gives a sweet yet slightly peppery entry. Running alongside these flavours is a subtly creamy vanilla note which runs right through the rum. The finish is long and peppery."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Bought this as I wanted a good rum. The tasting notes match that of a good dark rum. It does not disappoint. Will buy this again. And again. Prepare for a nice gift if you know me.
