Pretty nice but not as good as the Diplomatico Reserva exclusiva. Good in cuba libre.

kΓΈbte denne fordi jeg er glad for reserva exclusiva. Den her er synes jeg ikke er helt sΓ₯ god som exclusiva

After my second test I upgraded reserva to 78 but exclusiva so much better. I foundout it differsa lot base on bottle. You more I test you better it becomes.

I was fairly disappointed when i tried this.. The extra anejo is one of my "daily" rums.. And it has a clear spot in my cabinet.. Now to this guy..

A little bit too light sniff.. All the right tones are there.. But to little of them..
The taste i free from ethanol at the beginning.. But the longer in the mouth and the clear taste of ethanol evolves.. The finish isnΒ΄t pleasant either.. A clear bite from alcohol and a quick wiff of tatest.. I almost wondered WTF happened ?.. Tried it again and the same disapointment strikes again.. If this is the only diplomat you have tried.. Try another one.. They donΒ΄t taste like this at all..

Nothing overtly wrong with it. But to my taste, too sweet and lacking in concentration and sophistication. Not a rum I'd ever buy again. Quite well priced though and can see that it would appeal to many.

I like to pour this one into a glen cairn glass and let it sit for 20 minutes or so before sipping. Good flavor with depth, a little hot in the throat.

Did you hesitate when your hand reached for the Exclusiva, thinking it outside your price point? Yeah, I did that, and ended up here. This seems like the right introductory Venezuelan rum experience. And it is distinct, given Diplomatico's unique production. An enjoyable experience neat or on the rocks, yet not quite at the high level of rums in admittedly higher price points.

Great for mixing, but not for sipping in my opinion
