This rum is get me mixed feelings. Its to good to be put in a cocktail/soda yet not good enough to be a good sipper. If you want mixing rum this one is great for you if you want to sip beware of that great taste but very long lasting burning sensation.

Soft in the nose, soft vanilla and baking spice notes. Rather sweet taste, bit harsh but okay, tabacco flavours in the mouth with nice fudge aftertaste.

Sólo o para preparar un buen cocktail de frutas tropicales.

This diplomatici will be an easy alternative for all occasions with taste and still that distinctive taste

Uplně přesně si vybavuji, kdy a kde jsem ho pil poprve před asi 8 lety. Od té doby mi Diplomatico přirostlo k srdci.

Je l'ai goûté il y a quelques temps, mais il m'avait semblé assez banal. Je lui préfère nettement le Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva.

It is not a great rum, would maybe not even go into my good rums section, as I tasting so many betters rums, but like his older brother, the ratio quality/price is amazing.
I bought a bottle because I was curious, and because for the price it could anyway end up in my mixer section, to make cuba libre for instance.
I tasted first neat, together with a glass of the Exclusiva Reserva next, and I was well surprised.
It has many of the aromas of the ER. It would need to be aired more as the alcohol is much more present at first then with the ER, and I think an ice cube would do him good too, but at the end, you can really enjoy even as a sipping rum, which for his price, is surprising.

un rhum un peu jeune mais qui est plutôt agréable car très léger. C'est peut-être aussi son défaut...

I was not expecting the quality of this rum after reading several reviews, quite nice on the rocks.
