A smooth rum with good flavor and reminds me a little of a brandy.
First impression is the aroma and I swear I caught a whiff of jagermeister which put me off before I even tasted it. Then I was put off again with the hint of licorice and syrupy sweetness. I really think they are adding jagermeister to this rum. Added ice and things improved for sure but not enough. It is an interesting rum but not in a good way for me. This Jagerum will be sitting and collecting dust. Nice bottle though.
A well done blend of rums but a little bit more sweet than my preferences.. good to start knowing premium rums and in good price!
Peppery, cinnamon like a dr pepper when mixed with coke. Enjoyable and certainly recommended. One of only a few Venezuela rums I have tried but won't be the last.
Excellent in combination with chocolate.
I tried it in a romatico drink. It's a shame to mix this rum in a drink.
My rating for the drink romatico is : 3
Uno dei migliori e famosi rum per questa fascia di prezzo. Dolce e facile da bere.
OK this is the rum that steered me from bourbon to rum. And while I carry on my journey every time I come back to this it remains my beacon. The richness and complexity are unbeatable and at this and up to double price point it is "the one"
The nose delivers a light butterscotch with banana. The feel of the sip is a watery start with almost no alcohol burn. The alcohol burn but it develops slowly. The butterscoth and artificial banana flavor linger, along with the alcohol burn. I feel as if it was definitely for slow sipping. One small sip satisfies the desire to have more for a long time since the flavors linger rather heavily for several minutes after it has been sipped.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."
