Very nice rum, smooth and enjoyable. Maybe a little too sweet but still a great rum.
Smooth and easy drink, like a Turbo charged Pedro Ximenez!!
I've seen many recommendations to try this one as it is a quality product. Tried a few in the same price range but for me this has been the best so far. Especially good in cocktails.
On a scale of 1 to 10, Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, I would rate this an 8 because of its unique blend and aging process which contributes to its complex and appealing flavor profile. It has become a favorite for me.
Everything was just ok. Good but nothing special for me. Was hoping for more…
Maybe not even the best (acc. to the other ratings). But the first time I had it, I knew... I am a rum kinda guy.
Most of my friends are into whiskeys. I never really got into it.
Bought a bottle of this in Duty Free at Majorca airport, so the price was perhaps a little less than normal. Did a quick search for reviews, which convinced me to buy a bottle, but in reality, I'm not mad about this. The initial taste is a bit sharp for my liking, almost like a whiskey. There is a spiceyness left on the tongue which is not too pleasant and lingers a little too long. The after taste after you swollow is nicer, but the sting is still left.
This Diplomatico has a great smooth mouth feel and soft finish with or without ice.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
