Arômes de caramel, de vanilles et petits fruits. Notes boisées et fumées... C'est du bonheur à ce prix.
Enjoyed this very much. On the sweeter side but not too much. The usual flavors you'd expect are here along with some oak and brown sugar. I also though I picked up a hint of orange as well. Would definitely buy a bottle.
Denne Rom høre ikke til blandt mine favoritter. Men det er nok smag og behag
Tons and tons of brown sugar. So sweet in fact that it seems harsh and bitter, if that makes sense. As I went through the bottle, I enjoyed it more for sure. Oxidation seemed to balance it out more and cut that initial harshness
Simple elegant rum. Easy to drink and goes well to mix cocktails. This rum is good value for money!
Avec une belle robe, il a une grande variété d'aromes et une bonne longueur en bouche. Assez doux mais tres riche en saveur
My first experience with Diplomatico was in Mexico City DF when I asked the restaurant manager to bring me his finest rum! He was perplexed because he usually gets requests for tequila, not rum. But I was searching for something different.
The pour revealed a perfectly amber color, the same color as maple syrup.
The nose: maples syrup, orange peel, brown sugar and a very mild licorice (nothing overbearing)
The mouth: sweeter than most sipping rums with toffee fudge and a smooth finish.
Aside from Zacapa, this is one the best rums I have tried and have since purchased roughly 10 bottles for friends and colleagues. The finish is smooth with little burn. Served best neat or with whisky ball if you enjoy colder rum.
Enjoy my friends!
En helt suveränt god rom!!! Åt det sötare hållet vilket jag gillar:-)!
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not being a millionaire I took the advice from a friend from Venezuela on this on. The smoothest sipping rum I've ever tasted. It's complex, not hot, zero fire on the back end. It's almost like a sugar wash on the finish. I'm amazed how good this tastes on the rocks. I now save it for special occasions only. With my rum budget it's at the top but well worth it...
