Sampled the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva and I can understand why customers enjoy this rum. It is sweet and has no burn whatsoever. Pretty good stuff for those who enjoy sweet rums (41 GPL), however, that is not for me as I prefer dry rums, hence my lower score.
my point a view about the tasty is not a good rhum to sweety. not enough character. but i think that the marketing agound this bottle have made lots of amateur of other rhum.
Sweet nose, full not too sweet body, fantastic! Looking forward to next bottle already!
I must say I do enjoy sipping on this rum. Yes this is a sweet rum that has a pronounced molasses taste and extremely sugary but I do appreciate a sweet rum. the price is also reasonable for a great rum. if you are new to rum sipping, this would be the perfect choice. its still one of my favorite to drink during the week.
This is by far the best sipping rum you can buy for under 50 euros.
So delicious it would be a shame to mix it in cocktails.
This is the rum your cabinet can't go without, also because it doesn't break the bank π
Smooth and enjoyable on the rocks. Also priced right!
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

If you like whisky i think you would easily get into this rum. I found it abit different to other rums i had tried. Its got a smokey note and i found it had the peat flavours of a whisky probably from the oak barrells they use. I wasnt sure when i first tasted it but by the time i was a few glasses in I was ready to buy another.
