Perpetuating family traditions. A dry, very deeply elegant rum. The favourite rum of Hernan Parra, Dictador Master Blender. Aged in premium quality, ex-bourbon and ex-sherry. Aging time 25-35 years.

I truly love the colour of light golden rum. It's a pity that this bottle does not show the beautiful rum that's on the inside and I regret that the looks of this bottle make it look cheap.
However the first sip makes you realise it's absolutely a great rum, it has a decent burn, strong on caramel a well aged rich taste but if falls a bit short on complexity. It's definitely a rum that's worth sharing with friends and not the - I keep this one too myself - kind of rum.
Dictador rumy vobec nemusim ani 12 ani 20, tento bol celkom fajn aj ked by som si celu flasu asi nekupil.
Nose - Dry, very dominant aromas of walnuts. Hints of vanilla.
Taste - Little bit sweet but overall still dry. This is how i like it. At start I experienced coffee followed by walnuts supported by anise and maybe some herbs behind. Each flavour is presented equaly. Very long finish leaving walnut taste in mouth. Super silk smooth, no alcohol smell or burn. Reminds me of vanilla crescents made for christmass.
Imagine some honey, bananas, coffee, toffee and dark chocolate lying on a wooden table.
Now pour gasoline on it, burn it down to smithereens and bottle the fumes.
Congratulations, you have just created Dictador XO Perpetual for fraction of a price. Thank me later.
Giving it a slightly higher rating since whisky lovers may appreciate such taste.
Dictador is the one of our favorite rums. This version is very complex, dense, thick, tart, so that it knits my tongue receptors. We can feel honey, tobacco, leather with a recognizable burnt barrel and dried fruits at the core. The taste gradually opens up, shimmering with different notes, and unlooking at the honey, I would call it dry. Tobacco, leather, cask dominate and the aging is very noticeable.
A Colombian masterpiece! Woody, chocolatey, caramelly, a bit of coffee and tobacco, a real treat.

Caramel, toffee, liquorice, coffee. Its strong and syrupy. Not sure how I feel about it just yet. Too strong on the butterscotch lacquer feeling. Still good, just not my preferred.
