Excellent tasting rum. Tastes of molasses but subtlety sweet. Definitely recommend
It's not bad. It has really a strong coffee smell.
New way to enjoy rum! Up until now I drank only rum&cokes, but this rum is tastes beautifully with just soda!
Surprisingly sweet and delicate, yet with very long and pleasurable finish. Definitely a good choice on this price range price tag :) so gooood
Determined complex clasic rum in with chocholate, caramel on nose and aftertaste, which is full and long.
It’s a very intense, pungent smelling rum.
"The taste of the Dictador initially is very much of coffee. It still has a fruity taste but it has a lot more going on that just being sweet. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

($57 CAD) From the smell after popping the cork I know I’m going to enjoy it. Smell was hard to pinpoint at first, expecting coffee and chocolate. I landed on butterscotch and that seems to be it. More than any other scent anyways. Kind of reminds me of butterbeer to be honest haha.
Butterscotch, maple and nuts are what I taste. Initially I wanted to say coffee and/or chocolate but I don’t think I taste those at all, contrary to popular opinion. This was one of the new clear at the bottom bottles, not the old matte finish bottle, maybe that’s why. In any case, very sweet with the warmth coming through and establishing itself as the aftertaste of above sits nicely.
It’s a fun rum with lots of character with a price that reflects it. I definitely suggest giving this rum a shot.
