Virgin Islands, U.S. | Aged | 40% ABV
Cruzan Single Barrel Rum begins as an assortment of aged rums, distilled in column stills and ranging in vintage up to 12 years. After blending, the rum rests in a new oak barrel for an additional year before bottling. Each bottle of Cruzan Single Barrel rum is poured from only one barrel, which may increase color variance from batch to batch.
Cruzan Single Barrel rum is produced by the Nelthropp Family in St. Croix. The name ""Cruzan"" is derived from island's native population - the “Crucians."

This is a great golden rum. Very smooth for 80 proof.
Vraiment bon comme rhum. Il surprend par rapport au prix. Son odeur de miel est complexe. Vieilli 5 ans il surpasse plusieurs rhum de même age.
Not quite what I expected and not very complex... Might be better suited as a mixer.
Very (too?) spicy and a little bit of sweetness. For those who like a strong rum. Probably great for mixing as well.
not very sweet, finishes nice, good for mixing or on the rocks
Light and smooth nose. Thin, Light taste with a small burn. Nothing that really stands out about this rum. Light to medium oak.
Dryer and harsher than I prefer for sipping but add an ice cube and enjoy the complexity.
This is my favorite. The price is very reasonable for a rum this good. A must try.
If slight uninspiring Bajan style aged rum. Great value

It’s very little and slightly floral with hints of fruit. It’s very light, pleasant and well balanced. .
"The rum is nice, it is well balanced with a nice mouthfeel. It offers little by way of alcohol burn and has a relatively long but inoffensive finish."

this rum has a taste quality that eludes me for personal enjoyment - is it dill, I taste or smell? Whatever it is, I just can't quite get into this one. Not for me, but as I've said elsewhere before - taste is personal/subjective, so to each his/her own.
