Trinidad and Tobago | Aged | 40% ABV
Angostura 1919 rum is produced in Trinidad by blending a combination of light and heavy molasses distilled rums. These rums spend at least 8 years aging in American oak bourbon barrels.
The name Angostura "1919" refers to the event in 1932 when Angostura's distillery was destroyed by fire. Miraculously, a handful of barrels filled with rum from 1919 survived and were purchased by J.B. Fernandes - the master blender of Fernandes Distillers.

Forgetable rum. Cocoa, vanilla, raw burn. You can find many similar.
i get a lot of vanilla and some cigar notes. Decent mixer, however a little on the sweet side.
En dejlig rum fra Angostura, der både kan sippes og mixes med.
Great rum to drink with coconut water. Distinctive taste. Caramelly
Been respectful for Angostura, but this one brought me pure nothingness in exchange of relatively high expense.
I tried this rum without any prior knowledge like I often do with other rums and I was nicely surprised.
It’s very clear in the glass with a light nose with hints of vanilla and oak. The first sip goes down very easy with more vanilla and slight chocolate coming through.
I’ll definitely add this to my nightly dram rotation.
J'ai vraiment bien aimé. Je ne saurais dire vraiment pourquoi mais il a frappé juste.
Wasnt very expensive. Didnt wow me but didnt disappoint either. A bit sweet with a hint of wood and vanilla. A standard mid range rum for a good price.

There is a little “oak and smoke” and a very small scent of fruit.
"The rum is very smooth with notes of oak, cocoa and vanilla. Perhaps a little banana but very subtle."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Flavor and texture is thin. Not much going on in the nose. Flavor is smoke with hints of honey/vanilla/chocolate.
Just an average rum to hand out on get togethers with the drinking buddies
