Ďalší hodnotený Plantation zo širokej ponuky je Pineapple Stiggin's Fancy, podľa popisu ide o 3 mesiace macerovaný Dark Original (základný rum od Plantation, oba majú rovnaký tvar fľaše) v ananásoch odrody Queen Victoria podľa receptu z roku 1824. Vôňa je silne prelezená ovocím, zato príjemná. Chuťovo ide o stredne nasládly jemný rum. Nie som veľkým priaznivcom dochucovaných ani spiced rumov a ananásovej arómy v drinkoch už tobôž nie, našťastie sú ovocné tóny stále pod kontrolou. A nepôsobia umelo, to je základ. Zaujímavá infúzia, v mojom prípade stačilo raz. Za tento upgrade si síce výrobca pýta pomerne dosť, každopádne dochucovanie zvládol na jednotku. Toto je úplne iná liga ako quasirumy typu Don Papa, Bumbu alebo Dictador 12Y. Odporúčam rumanom, ktorí si chcú "odskočiť" od core biznisu. Silných 6.

I totaly digged the sweet and sour taste mix, heavy tones of pineapple

It's rare to have a strong flavored spirit that isn't overly sweet, pineapple forward but still rum, just amazed at how quick the bottle disappears.

I get quite strong pineapple on the nose and on the palate I get a strong vodka-like alcohol and semisweet pineapple and arrack flavors. Long lasting alcohol taste.
Not my favorite Plantation, but definitely not not my worst neat-sipper.

I first encountered this when asking for a Piña Colada built on it because I noticed the bottle when out trying cocktails recently. The resulting cocktail was delicious, with the pineapple flavor greatly amplified and accented by the rum. On its own, neat or on the rocks, it is harsher than I like in my sipping rums, which is the only reason I have for keeping the score down.

Smell is not so great yet taste is quite nice: balanced fruity notes, not too pineapply, decent drinkability

This rum is perfect for when you are craving something more mature, aged well and fruity. This definitely delivers on that front. The pineapple is definitely noticeable of course but it is not too sweet nor sugary/syrupy. It is just right! I find sometimes myself looking for a good rum with a fruity lunch and this is the one.

Ive been eyeing this one for awhile now, and finally took a chance on it.
The pineapple flavor is nice, not as up front as i expected, but still there.
Overall very nice, would buy again.
