Looking forward to another Nicaraguan distillery. Never been a big fan of Flor de Cana rums so let’s give this a go 21 years aged plus Port finish at 43%. No heavy alcohol scent, slight port notes on the nose. Wow too much port aging, similar to Diplomatico Ambassador, and Ron Vavazos Palazzi. They all took it to far 6 months maybe 1 year max for port and sherry aging. Otherwise diminished return. I want rum to taste like rum.
It’s ok just not my kind of rum, I’m thinking 6.5. Just because it’s smooth just a bit too much port. Luckily I purchased on auction for 25 pounds. I’m ok with that.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Very drinkable, smooth, notes of vanilla/hazelnut, eucalyptus, milk chocolate, and truffle candies. Watery, not oily. Little finish.
