A friend from India brought me back a bottle of this to try as this is the only rum he was really aware that India makes. Right away it smells of vanilla and molasses, the taste was quite sweet with not as heavy of a burn as I was expecting. Definitely tasty and smooth enough to drink neat but would also be solid mixed. Not sure if its good enough to warrant paying import fees. however for the price in India, this is a solid bottle.
Breyer to drink with mixers. One of the better Indian rums but still not the best.
I guess, everybody who did not like this rum had different version.
Version for Canada is fine, pretty delicious, easy to drink. 42.8° are true and smooth.
Reminds me Mayers dark, but it's more watery. Works well in Mai Tai.
Cheers! Happy New Year!
extra heavy 43 proof.i think in this price range one of the best.
Try out my first rum and it was burning my throat drinking it on the rock. Try it with coke and it was easier on the throat.
Taste of caramel with a hint of cinnamon. But since it was my first rum, i could be wrong but overall. It go well with a mixer and not recommended as a sipper.
After downing a few drink with mixer. Started to realise the artificial gasoline smell and taste slipping out. But for a cheapest rum i can find in the country, I can't complain more.

Appearance: amber
Aroma: butterscotch lifesaver
Flavor: butterscotch lifesaver! With caramel on top!!
Super glad we found this bottle in Chattanooga ❤️
Great for sipping but also lovely with lime
Acetone and caramel nose. Neat or on rocks is not very good. Alcohol burny aftertaste is not the best. As a mixer however it is a different story. Caramel is more pronounced in a rum and Coke or dark and stormy. Dark and stormy was not the best but the rum and Coke was far better and drowned out the harsher flavor and left only the caramel/syrup flavor. This is a very sweet mixing rum. Wonderful when used in tiramisu. May revisit as it’s flavor is fairly unique, but it is hard to take it over other 20 dollar rums.
I blind bought this so wasn't really expecting anything but it managed to surprise me with a real blow. I wouldn't call it a rum really. Very strong and spirited. Weird and unpleasant taste even with coke. Had tough time finishing the bottle which was my first and last.
It is very rich and bold in flavour.
"It is sweet and reminds me a little of a Baileys type taste. There is a definite kick of alcohol in amongst it."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not easy to drink and does not always fit well. But there are days when I really enjoyed it. Mostly good with beef or salty food.
