Captain Morgan Spiced Rum is made by combining yeasts, molasses, water and mash, which are then distilled in a continuous still. The rum is aged for up to 1 year followed by the addition of spices and flavors indigenous to the Caribbean Islands.
Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Also you can mix at home your Captain Morgan spiced rum. Just add vodka, sugar and vanilla. Nothing special.
A good rum as a go to on a night out or in company where you don't want to share any of your better ones. LOL
There was a time when I thought this stuff was the be-all and end-all of rum, as unfortunately far too many do. Yes I was young, I was inexperienced and it was cheap. THANKFULLY there's been a lot of water gone under the bridge since then! CM Spiced is indeed, and remains to its shame, what those who know nothing about rum think of as rum. The only factor that allows this beverage to creep its nose minutely past the threshold of a '3' rating is the addition of the spices because, without that element it'd be bland, gasoline-like cat p**s. Only really fit for drowning in cola, this epitomizes the mass market product consumed by the masses who've never embarked on the journey of discovering proper rums. Nuff said.
What else to say? It is heavily flavoured like some kind of golden amber dessert drink with chocolate, caramel and vanilla. A little fake perhaps, but oh, so delicious.
My first “rum”, so maybe I’m soft. It’s really easy to use this as a mixer. I don’t think I’ve had as sugary as a rum since. But it’s got a nice flavor to mix with cola, which is where I would leave it.
Artificial colour (no problem with that, it is not unusual in that range of quality).
Taste is the issue here. Much too sweet, toffee, artificial chocolate, cocoa and a bunch of other stuff that does not belong into rum. In fact, any sort of neutral spirit with aromas added would work just as well as rum as a basis for this sort of drink.
2/10, because this is not the worst spiced rum. But it is not a good one either.
It's a generic spiced rum, easily accessible. Not great but cheap as chips. Distingtive taste but not one I enjoy.
The perfect wingman for coke
