Ne rien écrire sur ce rhum serait de lui faire une faveur
It's got a flavour note in it that reminds me of eggnog, I don't quite know what it is though. One of their better products for sure
Didn't really care for this spiced rum. Tried to like it, but it let me down. Also, it lost a lot of it's flavor when I tasted it a few days later.
I’m a whisky guy and new to rum. I started drinking dark and stormy’s/the perfect storm recently and like them. I made these with The Kraken and a huge fan of the flavour so tried Captain Morgan Black Spiced and though it was very average. I couldn’t drink it neat and didn’t taste good in the cocktail. the Kraken is better.
Deep groggy murky sweet dark almost opaque black as promised. now this looks like the blood spilled from the heart of the Kraken, though not a freshly killed beast. the nose is complex like cocoa with hints of clove mixed into the blackest of fermented ceylon teas. this is a bloody mixture of molasses rich rums, all well mixed into a pleasant heart warming experience of sipping tea for Buccaneers. complexity of this rum allows almost the experience of a new encounter with every dram. i sipped two hard two find bottles like they were tea, perhaps a Cask Strength or higher abv version is asking to be released. just add more abv and it will become even better. or in other words will delay the finish to where it should be.
7.5/10 could be an 8.5 if i drink again and feel the same.
I was looking to try a small bottle of Captain Morgan Private Stock based on a recommendation. I was told they didn't have a small sized version but the staff member offered me a 375ml of Captain Morgan Black Spiced instead. Never heard of it at the time.
Wow. I expected an unpleasant charred taste, but it is nice and rich with a lot of pleasant character.
I didn't mind it straight, and it stood up well in mixed drinks.
I'm not sure I'll ever find another bottle, but I'm glad I tried it.
Black Spiced Captain Morgan Rum, another good Dark Navy Rum...
Similar to the old RCN Prusser Rum and good with a Coke Cola mix...
I love this rum, its very difficult to find. I would always choose it over any other if I could find it!
"vanilla flavour is there but is mixed with a little Black Cherry and caramel"
"Captain Morgan Black Spiced rum review by The Fat Rum Pirate"
"rich clove spice and premium cassia bark"
"Captain Morgan Black Spiced rum review by the Ultimate Rum Guide"
There is a little hint of clove and nutmeg present on the nose as well but predominantly it is sweet vanilla. .
"This is a very sweet drink. The rum burns a little on exit but after a few sips the burn subsides. There is a little hint of oaked ageing in the aftertaste."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Was gifted this bottle and sat and collected dust for many years. Popped it open to make classic daiquiris, wasn't great, wasn't terrible.
