8:On the nose, this rum is complex, elegant, the wood is toasted, buttery, fresh, lively, we find very roasted side of this rum nuts, coffee, caramelized red fruits and some chocolate. Quickly tobacco find its way out, smokiness is present, bacon can be scented, some herbal notes also.
8,5:On the palate it is rich, smooth, velvety, spicy, sweet, oaky, thick with darker side of the rum with roasted nuts, coffee, some cherries, vanilla, bourbon, red fruits, toffee, brown sugar is caramelized. Tobacco is again our companion. We taste a bit bitter cocoa. 43 ABV not felt at all.
8:The finish is long lasting, woody, roasted, palate notes linger on. Bit dry in the end-finished in cognac cask.
Well balanced, rounded, one of better Spanish style rums. Rivalry of Zacapa XO.

Faint toffee nose with a bit of alcohol burn, immediate sweet wine taste (think dos maderas) on the tip of your tongue, light tingling burn of cognac on the taste that has a thick viscosity that envelops the entire tongue. The finish is a bit nutty with a tiny bit of burn. Dos maderas meets el dorado
