On the nose you can definitely tell that this Two Lasses Rum is of Pineapple flavour. Drank neat, said Pineapple instantly bombards your tastebuds whilst overpowering the vanilla and coconut. Which for me is a bit of a shame really, because I was hoping for a better balance between the three flavours. But, credit where credit is due, it’s still a sweet rum, with very little alcohol burn. Drank with Coca-Cola this rum completely changes into something much more to my liking. The fizzy dark stuff works its magic by making the pineapple less jarring(I’m not a big pineapple fan) and the coconut and vanilla more prominent. So as a long drink, you still get that initial hit from the pineapple, but it’s softer, quickly followed by the lovely dulcet notes from the coconut and vanilla. P.S, as an added bonus, this rum works really well in a variety of cocktails!
