Navy strength brings an obvious burn on the nose, spiciness from pepper dominates throughout. An odd element of citrus hits the nose but also at the start of the taste and perhaps a hint of mint before it tails off to a finish. The end contains a bitterness like cocoa and does keep going for quite a few minutes afterwards. Was not overly complex but did overtake the senses.
UK retail price was £85, we had a sample and glad we didn't buy a bottle.
Rating: 4/10 - not sure it is worth the price tag.
Smell - Peppercorn dominates, citrus, date
Taste - Pepper spice and citrus at the start, maybe slightly minty freshness, dried fruit, dark sugar
After Taste - Long finish, cocoa, dried banana
