Brewdog 500 Cuts Handmade Spiced

I saw this on sale for £20 in the shop, and have been sceptical of Brewdog's spirits since their first venture with botanical rum.... moving swiftly on from that, I bought it on a whim.

Have to say, this is a total win. being priced at that £20-24 price it hits hard. It reads like a standard rum cocktail of vanilla, orange, lime, ginger, fig and kola. On the nose it has a toffee cola smell with a deep rum richness, and tastes exactly as it smells straight. It does amazingly with cola drinks and have been making maitai's over christmas. Does everything you want from a spiced rum, If you see it, get it, there are few i'd recommend over this (and all cost significantly more).

Even that i got it for £12.50, it's not my thing. A little bit artificial taste. Much better than Captain Morgan, Sailor Jerry and others of this price range. However, Chairman's Reserved Spiced is a couple of levels above.

I got through the bottle of this mixed with lots of ice, coke and lime, but it's not good enough to sip neat. Wouldn't buy again.
