Bought that bottle at a German discounter. 30 € für a 15 years old Cuban rum. 38 % - 700 ml.
Good price for that, I thought, so give him a chance.
Taking a nose out of the bottle : sweet banana, vanilla, no sharpness (what a luck), but also not more than this.
Nose from the glass : add a little wood to the banana and the vanilla. But only a soft and fine wood. Smooth. Surprised pleasant.
The palate : ohhh, the wood is coming with a bang, the sweetness is no longer vanilla, more caramell and the banana has changed into a very far hazelnut schnapps. The low 38 % are responsible for no sharpness furthermore. Pleasant. Smooth :-). Good neat drinkable, but ... nothing extraordinary.
Finish : unfortunately short. Nothing left after one minute.
All in all a good drinkable rum for that low price, but also nothing special. More a rum for everyday and I don't repent that I bought it !
It's not enough for a 7, but it's a little more than 6.
