Tasted at Mitch e Amaro during Lei Away september 2 2023
Appearance: amber
Nose: vanilla, floor polish
Flavor: this is a rich delicious rum. Don't mix it with anything, cherish the complexity. This is a hot rum and also amazing. It tells the story of a year of someone's life.

Foursquare rum tasting. Deep gold color. This is incredible in that this is a rum that produces a crazy aroma with a gargantuan Barbados aged profile. Wish this was my first tasting of the day!! Got to buy this! Cloying up front!! Tangerine aroma? Crazy spiciness. Super hot- who cares?

Udgivet i juli 2022.

Den gode klassiske smag af Barbados som vi kender den. En anelse skarp i eftersmagen, men den er god.

Yeah, at 60% ABV this packs quite a punch in both burn and flavor. A supercharged version of Doorly's 12yr, but better. Straight up its a bit too powerful for my taste, but I still sip it that way sometimes. I've experimented with a little water, and that strikes a better balance of flavor without burning your taste buds like a hot spicy pepper. My first experience with overproof rum, so I'm still on the learning curve of how to best enjoy this one, but I like it.

Very rich and complex on the nose and palate. Just the right molasses syrup sweetness balanced with nice spices. Very enjoyable from beginning to end, even though I'm not normally a rum drinker. Priced at $90 -- it was worth it. I wouldn't pay more for it though.

Oaky, vanilla, punchy, but well rounded. Good to sip alone or with ice

It's ridiculously smooth considering its high octane. There's definitely a very heavy whiskey presence to it. It's semi-sweet and warm but there's no burn. It smells great, tastes great and it is all around pretty amazing. It's definitely worth the price of admission!

Smoother version of 2008 tasted them back to back and this has less burn. Caramel notes with peppery burn

Great tropical nose and taste with long aftertaste.

Nice rum, little dryer with a bite. On the nose you get the bright fruits and the alcohol aroma. Tastes short and dry but a long bite. Light and sweet. Little bit of taste is lost in the bite, but not much. Notes of darker fruit are in the finish as well as brown sugar.
