A sugar-free 25-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed neat or on a rock, and paired with 70% cocoa chocolate.

A very smooth and tasty rum. Perfect for sipping. I got a tasting box of all flor the cana rums and this is definitely the best one.
This rum is quite dry with only hints of sweetness, but still carries a deep caramel flavour with oak notes. Not amazing unless you really prefer the dryer styles over more sweet rums, but either way it is no match for the Diplomatico Single Vintages, or if price isn't an issue then the El Dorado 25yo or Zafra 30yo blows it away.
As with most heavily aged rums there is a solid oak-based complexity here, mixing in with the caramel notes, but as with other flor de canas the base is missing something extra to distinguish it, particularly against others at this lofty price point. Very sippable, but if you tasted it blind against other 12-15 year old rums in the $40-80 range (like, say, Real McCoy 12) there's a good chance you wouldn't choose this as the winner. One caveat is I had this at a bar, which for me tends to make lesser rums more interesting than they probably are (because of the experience factor) and great rums less interesting than they probably are (because of the cost).
similar to the f.d.c. 18 but richer, caramel and oak plus a little bit of orange, cocoa and coffee,
really a well aged rum ! this one is expensive but it s ok for the quality ...
this one is soo smooth, no burn at all, long warm finish
Well i’m not an very experienced rum drinker but I would discribe myself as medium advanced. It got a nice full scent, some tones of caramel/vanilla, some wood and slight smokey. At first you taste some vanilla/caramel flavour, in the aftertaste you got some wood and spiciness. Its not to sweet but enough to make it pleasant, very smooth with A very slight burn.
The 25yo has an absolutely intoxicating amount of flavour, without it being sacrificed with an artificial sweetness. Like all other Flor de Cana products, the 25yo checks all the boxes as to what you'd expect. Maybe slightly overpriced as compared to the increase in quality from the 18yo, but I wont let that hinder it's rating. A truly fantastic choice.
Not complex enough for the price point. Enjoyable oaky flavour but lacks the complexity expected of a 25 year. Decent but not great.
40% ABV molasses rum from Nicaragua, aged for 25 years in American oak barrels. It is one of the top products of this distillery (except for the special limited editions).
Bottle: Beautiful, angular and exclusive looking. It comes in a nice opening box.
Colour: Dark copper to mahogany
Nose: A little more alcoholic at first. There is vanilla, caramel, molasses, oak barrel and dark chocolate. A little inharmonious for a premium rum.
Taste: It's better than the aroma, although it's a bit more pungent here too. There's bitter cocoa, dark chocolate, almonds, wood and pepper. The palate is dry at first without a hint of sweetness, then it mellows slightly into an unsweet nougat.
Finish: Long and sharper.
Conclusion: This is a good dry rum, but I expected a richer and more harmonious aroma and flavour from a 25 year old rum.
Overall rating: 8 out of 10

25yo but tastes like 10. Not so sweet and you have to get used to it! Personally, I like more sweet rums. Not buying it again with that price tag.
