Expensive bottle but worth the extra cash for me. Not the best value, but I try not to go to long without having a bottle to reach for -
Not a 10 because that's for something no one will ever make. Since I bought it the first time I've always had one bottle in my shelf
This Flor De Cana tastes excellent. Flavors of caramel and vanilla with a slow and very smooth finish. Not sure about the price as it is very similar to the 18 year. Don't get me wrong, it is better tasting and smoother than the 18 year but not enough to justify the price hike. Stick with the 18 year if you had to pick but try it if you have the cash to blow.
Volevo un prodotto di altissima qualità e l'ho trovato! Semplicemente favoloso, tutti i sapori perfettamente bilanciati.
Logicamente la qualità si paga.
This rum is a confusing sip. It has the buttery mouth feel. The aftertaste and burn similar to Ron Z XO, but up front it’s very flat. I ran this in a comparison to flor 130th and Ron Z XO, it almost taste of spring water up front. I let it breathe a bit and it still isn’t as flavor or alcohol forward.
Incredible deep aroma! Wonderful from all perspectives. Smooth and a joy to sip.. Simply enjoy the taste. Although it is very sweet, I love it!
I've been disappointed by older rums so far but this one actually captures the slightly musty and warm notes of a more than 20 year-old rum. While these days the 25 on the label doesn't mean much, I found this blend of aged rums produces the very flavours I hoped for from Appleton's 21 year rum. This rum isn't too sweet, but it is smooth and refined and is a premium example of aged rum. Well worth the premium, and that isn't something I can say about most premium rums.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
