Ron Zacapa Centenario XO Solera Gran Reserva Especial

With this one, It is very easy to get freinds over for a sip, it has some woody notes, ripe fruit, spices, bitter cocoa and hints of almond and vanilla and not the least the look of the bottle is impressive

Beautiful amber colour. Not too much alcohol on the nose, but lots of ripe fruit and and sweet dates. On the tongue it has an oakiness that reminds me of brandy. Some marzipan. Ripe fruit remains. Rich flavour. A bit too much alcohol on the tongue though, which I find dries it a little. Although it is very smooth without much burn going down. Those who do not like sweeter rums may find it a little too sweet, but think it strikes a nice balance. It isn't cheap. But it comes closer to matching its cost than other premiums I have tried. Worth a try if you have not.

This version is very good, especially at a fairly reasonable price (versus say El Dorado 25!). I pick this one up a lot at "Duty Free"prices, when I can, as a "higher-end" option. Plus the bottle looks impressive on the "bar" at home (although the previous XO bottle was super nice!). If you like Zacapa 23, this is definitely a must get/try! Enjoy sipping this one...

I really enjoy this rum, much better than Solara 23 that I find too sweetened. smooth rich and somewhat complex. Beautiful bottle and presentation makes a nice gift.

This is a really good sipping rum, I liked it with lime. I don’t think I’ll get it again because I like the Ron Zacapa 23 just as much, for a fraction of the price!

I like it in a rom and Coke. One of my go to for that drink

Quality rum in a beautiful bottle. Maybe too expensive for what it is tho
