Finally got to sample R.L. Seale 12 yr rum. Didnโ€™t know what to expect, being from Foursquare Distillery My expectations were high however, I feared I would be disappointed as I have tasted several rums from his ECS well, the ABV is definitely not as high (46%) but the flavour definitely is. Just love it! Now have 3 full bottles at home. Richard Seale has yet to disappoint me. So good!

Not as mindblowingly, earthshatteringly perfect as the ECS releases, but the price is right. Prefer this over McCoy 12 year.

I was amazed at the price on this rum. It is very smooth and mixes well. You can't miss on trying this one!

Excellent choice, is a bit pricier than the 10 years, but is worth the extra money.
This is a premium choice for half price other Foursquare options. Granted that the ABV is not as high but still very good.

This rum will do just fine on a really cold night by a fireplace with some nice ambient music in the background. At 46% ABV it surprised with the smoothness. This rum warms it does not burn. There is definately a whiskey presence and dark chocolate on initial taste but that melts into a nice warm burnt molasses and spice that just lingers. This is actually a fairly sweet rum but certainly not offensive and less dry than I expected. Overall 8.5 score.

Foursquare rum tasting at Mitch e Amaro on 9-2-23. Rich dark gold. So very mild that itโ€™s fantastic. Perfect palate. Easy sipper. As though there is no burn at all. Great rum.

I prefer less but it isnโ€™t excessive
Slight smoke but not much
Caramel and vanilla

Molasses and some baking spices, the latter more on the nose than the palate. Smooth but not super flavorful. I prefer the Real McCoy 12 year for sipping.

probably a 8.5! can be taken as a shot, or mixed in drinks!

Slightly sweet and fruity with a nice spicy kick. Very balanced. On the finish it unfolds into some sweet burnt molasses, baking spices, and just the right amount of burn. The finish is the only thing lacking. It's still a fantastic rum for the price.
