Tasted this rum at Cane Rum Society in Stockholm which is the bar in Europe with largest amount of different rum on their shelves.
The tasting was led by the co-founder of the brand, Mr Ian Burrell.
It saw the light of they not far ago in a collaboration between Grays Distillery in Mauritius, Mr. Ian Burrell and Mr. Richard Seale owner of the Foursquare Distillery.
It consists of unaged rum from Grays made from sugar cane juice and 3yo molasses based rum from Foursquare.
The aroma is grassy, earthy and fruity with hints of the cane, vanilla and oak.
On the palate it’s still fruity with some sweetness and I can recognize the taste of the cane, citrus, apples, pears with hints of vanilla and oak.

The finish is medium long and not very strong with hints of oak, vanilla, pepper and other spices.

Overall an quite interesting rum that works well neat as well as in drinks and cocktails.

Mix Forsquare a nejakej zmesi z afriky.
Napriek bledej farbe vyrazna sudovost.
Tony lahkeho kokosu a vyrazna sudovost po burbone.
Nato ze ma 43 volty tak v tom az taku alkoholovost necitim.
Ale asi bude lepsi v drinku kedze sa tam toho zas tak moc nedeje.

I actually really liked this rum. Though maybe not a sipper, it goes superbly with a number of drinks. We made of few drinks with this but the Rumrita stole the show. My friend made a Rum Old fashioned with this and it actually seemed like it paired better than the dark. This rum is definitely deserving of a 7+ rating.

Okay, it is not an aged rum, but should be more tasty. Too strong alcohol flavour, no delight. Too high price.

It's a decent rum for drinks, not for a standalone drink
