On the nose: sweet fruit with an alcohol under tone.
Taste: fruity um with a strong alcohol under tone but little to no burn which is surprising.
After taste: non existent. It goes down smooth and then the taste fades away, so you have to take another sip! Truly diabolical haha.
An interesting sipper, a fun edition to my collection.
Equipment : is ok, but nothing worth mentioning
Nose: Strong, a hint of fruit
Taste: A little “Sharp” taste, with a taste of perfume and some dried fruit
Aftertaste: next to nothing
We are 2 persons tasting this rum.. This is not a great rum, it goes best with a cold Cola.
This rum was quite interesting. There is a very slight sweetness to it but tha doesn't play the main role. In taste, there is dark chocolate, oranges, vanilla, cinnamon, a very slight funk, and most importantly - wood. I enjoyed this one specifically because of the wood and oranges.
Brownish amber in color. Notes of vanilla-cogarillos, sweet fudge and caramel. On palate it initially gives perhaps menthol notes, followed by the vanilla-cogarillos, roasted caramel and fudge. Orange and dark chocolate turn up in aftertaste.Alcohol taste pleases all notes here. All out ull-bodied.
This Rum is especially tasty. I heard rumors how good this is but you have to try it yourself! It has a little stronger touch, but the smoky - sweet - coffee like kind of wooden characteristics just gives extremely good feelings. Even the scent of the rum is fulfilling! Wow!
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Typical what I call "rum-rum" (as opposed to the fruity rum types). Was expecting a smoother, more refined version of their baseline Damon's Share but this is like comparing the original Bumbu with the bumbu XO - where the 12y DS is more like the Bumbu XO (but not nearly as nice and smooth).
Also just did an AB comparison with the Havana Club 7y and here, the DS 12y is more complex than the HC 7y which appears a bit watery compared to the DS 12y.
Update: 6 to 8 points - had it again over Christmas in comparison to McCoy prohibition edition, HC 7yo, papero, centenario 25yo and this one was very nice!!! Flavors of wild cherry! Let it sit for 20 minutes is key.
