Ron Colon Salvadoreno Coffee Infused Rum Red Label

El Salvador | Flavored | 55.5% ABV

Ron Colón Salvadoreño coffee infused rum is made with a base of 6-year-old column-distilled rum sourced from Licorera Cihuatán distillery in El Salvador. Small additions of unaged Jamaican rums sourced from Worthy Park, Hampden and Monymusk, as well 3-year-old rum from Worthy Park estate bring a rich flavour experience. The 111-proof coffee infused expression is made with the addition of whole bourbon coffee beans sourced from Jags Head Coffee in El Salvador. The infusion is made in a cold brew style; the beans are blended with the rum for 48 hours, imparting a rich chocolate, cherry fruitiness into the spirit, creating a balance between the coffee and rum. Can be enjoyed in a coffee highball or Negroni.

It's actually a good drink. They put coffee beans inside the rum for 48 hrs and it got a huge flavor profile from it. Vanilla with huge coffee notes...this could replace your morning coffee...

Very similar to the green label. However the nose doesn’t have the burnt coffee smell. Same flavor profile and same finish. Overall better than the green label.

Don't care for flavored rums in most cases. I found both of the coffee flavored rums from Ron Colon to be unpleasant.

I am not a big fan of coffee rums, so I am not the best person to review this. Overall, it had a light, and not overpowering, coffee flavor to it, with some decent dark chocolate notes to it. It was better than the other coffee rum I have had in the pass, but I don't see myself buying a bottle.

The taste seems fake, lacks the depth and fundamental parts of rum.

Initially very powerful taste and feeling of the 55 ABV, followed by strong notes of coffee and subtle hints of honey

In comparison to their other coffee infused rums this one strikes a better balance between the strong taste of coffee and rum

Smells like being served in a used ashtray. Don't like at all.

In aroma is the coffee not much presented. Taste is mix of three different tones - jamaican tones with pepper, coffee and smooth aged rum. Interesting experience, but not my "cup of tee".
