Dejlig sipper fra saint lusia. er tro med deres stil.
Alluring amber colour. Subtle aroma of oak, caramel netmeg and a touch of fruit. First impressions were too harsh, but once allowed to sit on a cube or two of ice the flavours settle and open up. The taste is smooth, dry almost bitter, but with a touch of fruit/molasses to linger along with the oak. Should suit whisky and especially bourbon fans.
Older brother of Chairmans Reserve Finest. It reminds me of Appleton 8 in some of its features, but I like Appleton 8 more. The nose is Jamaican overripe banana, citrus fruits, honey and varnish-like esthery ending, the taste is fruity, starts with honey-like sweetness, continues with spices, ends with a with a bitter sweet aftertaste of grapefruit, honey and a bit of an alcohol bite. There are only traces of wood in the smell, and could not detect any of it in the smell, I would expect a bit more of the barrel presence for rum aged 5-8 years. In my opinion this reiteration of the Chairmans Reserve fares not so well with me as Forgotten Casks and Finest I tried before, but this is definitely not a bad rum, especially for someone who likes Jamaica style, far from that.
It has all the qualities of CR Original only it's much better - and better than the Forgotten Casks, too. The smelll is great, the taste, really complex and the aftertaste good. Stewed fruit, molasses, raisin, baked plum, caramel.
It kind of reminds me of Pussers 15. It's not quite as good as that - but then not many rums are, but it is pretty good!
Great scent. Goes down like bourbon for comparison- but only in a good sense. I thought this was a great rum.
I like this rum. Its a sweet good sipping rum. But there is something with the after burn or taste that i can't explain. It has some kind of weird chemical smell and flaovour to it. Still a decent rum for the money
Got a dram of this in the advent calendar. Quite dry, not my favourite to sip but can imagine an old fashion would be nice with this.
Decent drop. Very drinkable. Rum pa pa rum pa pa. Rum
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Really enjoyed this rum. It has a taste of spice and molasses but not overpowering and enjoyable on it's own. Definitely worth the try.
