I like it very much, it is sweet, but I like that.
Not as good as the dark rum, but for the price it is a great purchase. Also great tour if you are in the Keys. Nothing artificial included.
Vanilla bomb! Pretty new to the rum world, but this is such a tasty spirit.
A smooth blond rum with a primarily vanilla flavor. A bit too sweet for some tastes.
I have trouble with what to think of this rum. From what I've read online, they claim no additives yet after tasting I have a hard time believing that. The taste to me is overwhelmingly maple syrup, and quite sweet/cloying on the palate in general. I overall do enjoy it for what it is, but certainly not my favorite. If you can get it for mid-$20s have at it!
This rum was definitely smoother, but less complex than other rums. It definitely had honey and vanilla notes, but I definitely don't think it's worth it at its price point. There are better options for cheaper, particularly for cocktails.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I’m a newbie here. I’ve always loved a good pina colada with a floater, but that’s as far as my rum taste went. Then, a few years ago, my wife and I wandered into the Papas Pilar tasting room while on vacation in Key West. I tasted the two signature varieties (one light, one dark). Wow! Wonderfully complex flavors! Unfortunately, I wasn’t thinking of writing a review at that very moment, so I really don’t have a description of the specific notes and flavors. But when I got home to Long Island, I bought a ”canteen” of the Blonde, and whipped up some “Papa Dobles” (Hemingway Daiquiris)- tangy, tart, and delicious, and of course I doubled the amount of Papas suggested! While savoring the blend of rum, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, one can close their eyes and imagine being right there at Sloppy Joe’s on Duval. Next time I get some Pilar Blonde, I’ll be sure to sip some neat, and report back…
