Picked up a bottle from a local store while staying on St Thomas, US Virgin Islands. The nose is that of a tequila or mezcal - there is a vegetal note that you typically find in an agave spirit and sweet ketones usually found in nail polish remover. In the mouth, the rum is hot despite being bottled at only 40%.
Sipping it straight is similar to a bland, unaged blue agave tequila. Mixing it had a way of ruining whatever drink it was in with some sort of acetone-y flavor shining through.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tasted at Hale Pele on 6-18-24. Clear. Big butterscotch aroma. Flavor is a cross between juicy fruit gum and horhound candy. Milk chocolate finish. I like this.
