Really enjoyed this rum - balanced and not heavy. Well worth trying.
A blend of aged and young rums, matured in Cuba for 7 years in whisky casks.
Bottle: Cylindrical with a label showing a map of Cuba that looks like a crocodile. The glass also has a crocodile skin texture.
Colour: Amber
Nose: Pungent and woody. I smelled particularly cherry, blackberry, apricot and a little caramel.
Mouth: Quite full and interesting. I smelled dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, slightly burnt cane sugar and wood.
Conclusion: For its age, this is actually a very good rum with quite a rich flavour that will appeal to even experienced rum drinkers.
Rating: 8,5/10
God och lättdrucken rom. Len och inte alltför söt.
This one, I Loved. Very, very balanced: Hints of Vanilla and caramel without being sweet, wonderful warmth from the alcohol without any sting that lasts and lasts. Very light, which I really liked, as many of the flavours are quite subtle. I would Claim it tastes of Caramel, sugar Cane, a Bit smoky, and a good measure of Vanilla. Great for sipping and Cocktails.
However, I'd say the Balance and lightness ist also a weakness, due to this Rum Not leaving a very longlasting impression and Not having a single, outstanding characteristic, which might be exactly what you are looking for, though. Therefore, Sometimes a less balanced, less nuanced but more in your face Rum will be more tongue-catching.
I liked it but is liking enough? It far as rums go it didn't make me want to go back for another. If I'm being honest its quite samey to lots of generic distillery rums. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn it down but similarly I wouldn't go seeking it out. It's no PJ Harvey (whom I adore - seek her out and thank me later) more humdrum middling noise. If you don't want it send it on, it's rum afterall.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

at first i have to say, i am not a fan of cuba-Ron, when i get the Havanna Maximo (1200 Euro the bottle), it was not my thinking how a ron mus be, the Havanne would get 4 Points in my oppinion ... this one (the Eminente) is for an Cuba Ron perfekt, it is a Ron in himself... by the other Cuban rons i have the feeling that many heavy different Taste's are in your mouth, with dont harmonised with each other ....
