7,8:The nose opens with a light rum, both fruity-pear, pineapple, apple, passionfruit and floral, with fine woody notes. The oak provides a hint of roasting, delivering aromas of roasted, caramelized nuts. Mild spices like vanilla are enhanced by other fine spices.
Aeration takes us further into the wood fiber, with a very elegant American oak barrel. The vanilla and coconut are just right, delicately wrapped in a case of blond tobacco. The fruit has matured considerably, and is now reminiscent of mirabelle plums oozing with sugar or a sweet white wine-sauternes .
7,7:The palate is balanced from the outset, between toasty oak and marshmallow-like soft fruit. The palate is quite dry, sauternes notes linger on, even bitterness is noticed. Pepper and wood join forces on the tongue mid-palate, clove shows up. This liveliness gives way to a softer, vanilla woodiness.
7,8:The finish is roasted and delicious, fruity , with a hint of mocha.

This is a pricy rum considering it is 7 years old. However I was suprised of the smoothness of it!

I expected a burn but it doesn't seem to exist here, that being said. Everytime I put this one in my rum tastings people seem to like this one the most! And I put 12y Abuelo and Diplomatico Reserva in there.

For a collector as myself definitly recommendation, Great as a gift if you know fellow rum drinkers. But again, a steep price for a 7 year old.

A Cuban rum with a rich history and a delightful blend of flavors. With hints of caramel, oak, and tropical fruits, it offers a complex yet approachable drinking experience. Smooth and versatile

don t care what other people say, other than a nice looking bottle this rum is nothing else ...
alcohol smell is the only aroma and the taste is dull and neutral (like vodka, others say light flavor ? for me it s a no flavor at all), ok no additives inside but at 55 euro you can t find worse rum !
similar price you can get a good cuba, havana seleccion the maestros ...

I really like this rum, maybe more than HC 7. This bottle is 41.3% a nice little extra kick than the typical Cuban 37-40%. The white oak aging is awesome light yet full bodied flavor and excellent light brown color. I understand Eminente has the youngest Maestro in Cuba and this rum was produced for International distribution. 7.5 is my actual rating I will definitely buy this again, when bargains arise.

Straight down the middle a bit watered down but good caramel taste not a biggie nor memorable but a good sipper but priced way too high for what it is

Well balanced, sweet but not too much. At the same time, nothing very special. Very nice bottle. Bought without reading reviews, no regrets.

Very light fruity (apple) aroma; light caramel and trolic fruits in body; decent tail
